Meet the Physician 


Kamlesh J. Sisodiya, M. D.

“As a child in Tanzania, I accompanied my father on makeshift ambulance runs from neighboring areas to the only available medical facility in the jungle fifteen mile away.  I used to stay there and watch the medicine do its magic,” says Dr. Kamlesh Sisodiya, as he describes his first interest in becoming a physician.

Today, Dr. “Kam” Sisodiya’s patients believe that he is the one performing the magic as an anesthesiologist/pain medicine specialist at Advanced Pain Care.  Educated in England before coming to the United States, Dr. Sisodiya is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Houston.  He received his MD degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.  He completed his Internship and his Residency in Anesthesiology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and he completed a Externship/Pain Sub-Fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock.  Dr. Sisodiya received his Pain Fellowship training at Richland Memorial Hospital In Columbia, South Carolina.

Dr. Sisodiya is licensed in Texas, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.  He is board certified as a Diplomate, American Board of Anesthesiology and as Diplomate, American Academy of Pain Management.  He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the American Medical Association, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Pain Society.

As a physician at Advanced Pain Care Centers, Dr. Sisodiya is a member of the Texas Institute of Pain Medicine.  He has a special interest  as a participant  in the “Ask a Doctor” program for Dannemiller’s “World Pain Congress” on the Internet, where he receives E-Mail questions from around the world on a daily basis.  He is also actively involved in Advanced Pain Care’s Website on the Internet.

Dr. Sisodiya lives in Fort Worth with his wife, Harsha, and his daughter, Nikisha.  He enjoys jogging, swimming, exercise, and cooking.
